Our stores and concessions are situated across the UK, Channel Islands and Ireland. Our store colleagues are committed and passionate about offering excellent service that is tailored to our customers' individual needs.

If you have visited one of our stores you will know we pride ourselves on offering exeptional customer service within a welcoming store environment. We have a true passion for both fashion and the EAST brand. The store teams are dedicated and talented sales people offering that unique customer service experience. Head Office

Our Head Office is situated in Wandsworth, South West London; set in a quiet location overlooking the King Georges Park and the River Wandle. The shopping centre is only 5 minutes walk away with plenty of places to shop and eat, and if you are feeling super active the gym is close by too. Rail links are good and we are only 10 minutes walk from Earlsfield and Southfields stations. Bus stops are just 5 minutes walk.

DESIGN

The unique creativity and vibrancy of the EAST brand comes from the heart of the Design team. They travel the world looking for inspiration, which can be found in the most unexpected places, and turn that into beautiful clothes and accessories the EAST customer will love. Our design team works on all aspects of the collection from first concept to the final product whilst working closely with Buying, Merchandising and the Technical & Production teams. The team is passionate, creative, humorous and diverse, just like our brand.

BUYING

The Buying team ensures that EAST continues to develop, and deliver beautiful and exceptional products. It is a challenging part of the business to ensure we develop a creative and commercial product. The team also works closely with our Design and Technical & Production teams to guarantee the products satisfy our high quality standards and meet delivery deadlines. They focus mainly on developing, sourcing, negotiating cost prices to drive profits and constantly reviewing sales with the Merchandising team to contribute to the Brand's product strategy. In the pursuit to find the perfect product they travel to India, the Far East and Europe.

MERCHANDISING

The Merchandising team is responsible for driving profit through sales, margin and stock management. They plan the ranges at the beginning of the seasons and manage the process through to the terminal stocks at the end. The department works very closely with most of the departments across the business (Finance, Design, Buying, Technical & Production, Warehouse, Retail, IT). The team is highly numerical with an eye for accuracy and attention to detail, alongside a passion for the Brand and the product. Merchandising is very demanding and the team regularly works under pressure to meet deadlines. 

CREATIVE

The Creative team is responsible for the visual presentation of the Brand within all our stores and concessions. Window displays, visual merchandising, seasonal photoshoots and promotional signage are just some of their many areas of responsibility that contribute towards creating a gorgeous, yet commercial, shopping environment. They work closely with the Design, Buying, Merchandising, Retail and Store teams to achieve this. Attention to detail, hands on approach, great communication and an ability to prioritise and adapt in a fast moving retail environment are just some of the skills required in this lively team.

RETAIL

The Retail team is split into two groups, Retail Hub and Regional Business Managers.

The Retail Hub team is responsible for managing the communication between stores and Head Office, resolving customer queries and a wide variety of operational responsibilities. The team is always looking at opportunities for improving operations in stores. This is a very fast paced department where the ability to cope under pressure and remain positive and focused whilst juggling a multitude of tasks is an every day necessity.

The Regional Business Managers are a dedicated team of individuals who are responsible for managing a geographical region and delivering the company goals and strategy through their store teams. They are highly motivated, strong communicators and are able to recognise sales and development opportunities. This role offers real variety and opportunities to utilise key management skills.

E-COMMERCE

E-Commerce is an exciting and fast paced department within EAST. The team is responsible for the website east.co.uk and is tasked with driving sales and reflecting a consistent brand experience online. They look after every aspect that impacts trading online. This includes areas such as product management, visual merchandising, graphic design, data analysis, warehouse management, online marketing and customer service. The team is committed to constantly improving the website and delivering an efficient service that is in line with the high standards that we offer in our branches. They are innovative, enthusiastic, have strong technical skills and can react quickly to install changes to impact sales growth.  

IT

The IT team is responsible for all computers, tills, networks, applications, reporting and telephony across the business. As the central point of contact for all IT requirements the team provide support, advice, project management and a high level of service to all internal customers and deliver an environment that enables the business to achieve its goals. Whilst dealing with the day-to-day operations and support of IT services the team also focuses on loing term planning and improvement of the service provided by the department. The team is committed to an ongoing cycle of improvement, continually seeking to develop with appropriate technologies and applications. The team is enthusiastic, self motivated, diligent and proactive. They are great team players and take ownership of individual objectives that contibutes to the departments overall goals. Documentation, control and a properly managed environment are core to their operations.

PROPERTY

We have a fascinating and diverse mix of buildings, some of which date back hundreds of years. The team ensures the buildings are well maintained and provides a safe environment for our colleagues and customers.

HUMAN RESOURCES

The HR team works in key partnership with all departments and stores across the business. Their main focuses are attracting, motivating, retaining, rewarding and developing individuals to realise their aspirations and deliver business goals. Their plans and actions mirror the company's strategy to ensure they add tangible and intangible value. They are proactive and innovative in managing employer/employee relations, whilst instilling good practices, developing policies and procedures that enable the business to comply with legislation, and above all encouraging ownership of personal development and pride. The team actively promotes equal opportuntiies and ensures our diverse teams use their skills to their full potential.

FINANCE

The finance department has three core responsibilities. The first is to manage all the day-to-day accounting functions such as paying suppliers and employees, and ensuring all cash is managed appropriately. The second is to give management information in a timely and relevant manner that aids in strategic business planning and decision making processes. The third is managing external business needs, such as those with shareholders, auditors and bankers.

The team is diligent and methodical in their work ethics. Each colleague pays close attention to detail in their relevant area within the department, as all the roles have a unique function. Working on their own initiative is almost as important as being a team player in a small and closely knit team. The team work to very tight deadlines and guidelines; and have the opportunity to challenge and improve current working practices to continually improve the Finance function within EAST.
