A closer look: Alhambra

The Alhambra in Granada dates back to the 9th century, but it was the arrival of the first king of the Nasrid dynasty, Mohammed Ben Al-Hamar, in the 13th century that saw the palace become a royal residence for the first time.

Art historians note the greatest concern of the architects working on the Alhambra was to ensure that every space of the palace was decorated. This resulted in a palace adorned with rich ceramics, carvings and tiles. Inspired by this grandeur, our Alhambra collection is rich in distinctive detail and colour.

Abstract and geometric in nature, many of the prints in this collection take inspiration from the striking blue and green tiled floors, walls and pillars that can be found in the palace.

This versatile collection combines relaxed contemporary silhouettes and forward thinking prints with our signature hand block prints and renowned artisan touch.

An Autumn facing collection, Alhambra is designed to refresh your wardrobe with easy to wear pieces that double up as light summer heroes and layering staples as the months turn cooler.
